Out of time, out of money, out of luck and out of ideas.

Hiya,

I’ve tried just about everything that I can think of to try to promote my artwork but nothing seems to have worked. I’ve tried social media, creating my website, videos, virtual galleries, artist directories, limited time promotions, discount voucher codes, online shops and even giving it away but nothing has worked, nobody is very interested.

I am therefore clean out of time, out of money, out of luck and out of ideas. I think that I should perhaps face up to the fact that my work just isn’t very good and of very much interest. If you have any bright ideas on how I might promote my work more successfully then I’d really love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks and best wishes

Leigh

One of those opportunistic shots, for a change I had the right lens fitted :). How things have changed, when I was young you couldn’t get a half-decent coffee virtually anywhere in this country and the mobile phone hadn’t yet been invented. πŸ™‚

New work: “Industrial Strength”

A new work based on an old family photograph of my late grandmother (left of centre) working in a factory circa 1920’s. Look at the age of the boys especiallyΒ  the boy in the bottom left.

She was an amazing woman, born just before the turn of the century in 1899, the first woman in the UK to hold a motorcycle driver’s license and she had a very hard working life and lived through two world wars but was always very cheerful a very “strong” and very kind woman. In the middle of the “Blitz” in 1940 her and her husband sold their house and moved back in to London so that she could nurse her sister who was very ill and she was a second mother to her sister’s children.

Later in life she battled spinal problems, cancer and a heart condition, any one of which is bad enough, but I never saw her let her health issues get her down.

A truly remarkable, caring and courageous woman.
