My competition entries – Voting deadline extended until 21st November.

Hi everyone hope you’re all keeping happy and well,

I’ve been a bit quiet recently and taking a short break. I’ve entered three of my works into a competition. I’d really appreciate it if you could spare a sec. to click on the photos below and like them on the Facebook like buttons on their website as it helps me with a chance in the competition or even better you might like to share the links and one of your friends might even like to buy one :).

I’ve never won anything in my life so maybe I’m in with a small chance in this one. One of my works did get shortlisted for the British Life Photography Awards earlier this year but that’s as far is it got.

Many thanks and kind regards

Website and about.me updates

Hi folks,

I’ve updated my website quite a lot lately. Not a particularly popular venture as it seems that even Google have stopped visiting πŸ™‚ and I’ve also updated my about.me page. I just don’t have the monetary resources to try and promote my work any more than I currently do. If you do visit the website try out the slider on the left-most picture on the home page. I like the before/after view of one of my works from the original photo to the finished artwork.

“Bombs to Bicycles” (Remastered)

I was unhappy with my previous version so decided to do a new one. I liked the idea of it raining bicycles rather than bombs!. A slightly satirical, tongue-in-cheek, work. I wanted to contrast the old with then new, sepia with colour etc.. I also wanted the contrast to be stark and thus the abrupt change from sepia to colour.

18793862843_a16eec49a3_zJust to add that for those unfamiliar with Boris Johnson he’s the current Major of London closely associated with all things cycling in London and advocate of the rental “Boris bikes ” as they are called. Those unfamiliar with wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill will find volumes of information on him on the web. πŸ™‚

Thanks

Thank you to those that have viewed and commented on my Expressions and Impressions gallery I hope that you enjoyed your visit and found it interesting,
