New look for my website

Hi Everyone,

Pixels in their infinite wisdom have decided to re-design their artists website. Personally I preferred the old look but here’s the new look. It makes little difference because nobody goes there very often πŸ™‚

VERY Brugge

Hi Everyone,

I think this shot is very Brugge. It is virtually impossible to get a shot without a bicycle in it πŸ™‚

Absolutely delighted with the performance of my new lenses.Β  I ended up taking my OM-D E-M5 Mk II, my M.Zuiko 9-18 mm, my Lumix 12-60 mm and my Lumix 35-100 mm lenses. As pretty much expected the 35-100 mm didn’t get any usage but the other two lenses were a perfect choice for the location and my photographic preferences. The fact that these lenses are all relatively slow wasn’t a hindrance at all as I habitually stop down anyway. All of my shots of Brugge and Ghent were shot as handheld HDR and processed in Skylum Software’s Aurora HDR 2019.

Although it was very cold and windy especially on the canals and large open spaces, I was expecting this and took some warm clothing. Blissfully the rain mostly held off, I took a couple of dry bags with me which did come in handy on occasions, a 10L and a 20L. The 10L is good for a fold up rainproof jacket, a camera in neoprene case, camera rain cover and not much more but the 20L, which also has the advantage of backpack type straps, will hold these and other items such as a second lens, spare batteries etc. and they don’t scream camera bag which, in my opinion, is always a good thing. Both of these bags fold flat and don’t take up any room in a suitcase.

Kind regards
