Rediscovered.

Hi everyone,

Amongst my many photos that I’ve rediscovered on an old hard disk drive dating back to 2000 like this one of Notre-Dame well before the fire. This was taken in 2003 when I was in Paris for a week long private commission. The subject of the shoot was very sombre, the roundup and transport of Parisian Jews during WW2 but I did have some time to wander around and take some shots for myself like this one when travelling between locations. Taken on a relatively low resolution by todays standards Canon DSLR.

And edited for converging verticals, sharpness and a little colour saturation.

Kind regards

Leigh

  1. Norte Dame was on my bucket list since I was a child. The gargoyles fascinated me. Around 2003 I finally just got up and went πŸ˜‚. Haven’t put a camera down since. A few years later I spent 3 weeks in France, Germany, and Netherlands shooting cathedrals. To this day I still make photo projects built around old churches. Thanks for sharing 😊😊

    • Hi Ted, I wish that I’d had time to go inside but I was on a tight schedule criss-crossing Paris to various locations. Funny how something like that can inspire one to photography. I’m really looking forward to the Chichester Cathedral 950th celebrations late this month, they’re lighting ip the whole interior and it’s a big building. Should be spectacular, I also love visiting churches and old churches. All the best Leigh
