I’m still here.

Hi everyone,

I’ve not had a very productive Summer for many reasons that I won’t bore you with here. Our long-awaited photographic adventure trip to Canada to see my elderly 89 year old father and my sister and her family had to be cancelled at relatively short notice, fortunately I hadn’t paid out for the airline tickets and travel insurance. My wife went for a cataract operation on one eye earlier in the year and was told that they’d do the other eye a few weeks later. Every time she rang them to see when they’d be doing the other eye she was told that the clinic didn’t have the funding from the NHS. As things turned out she went for her second op. a couple of weeks ago and she can’t travel for six weeks after the op. and after being given the all clear by the optician. We are all pretty disappointed as it’s been forty years since I was last in Canada. We might be able to go for a short city break somewhere before the year’s out. I do enjoy these trips, like Prague, Bruges/Ghent, Brussels and Rome. So Hopefully I’ll be able to salvage something photographic we might try Krakow or maybe Budapest. We’re also planning to re-schedule our trip to Canada for the Spring of next year, fingers-crossed, all being well.

Hope everyone’s keeping well,

Best wishes,

Leigh

  1. What a pity. I hope you can make up and do some other trip and have fun together. Reminds me of our lost trip to Italy didn’t happen because of Covid. We lost money on that missed trip to spend with family.
