3 Years On with music by “The Rabbitts”

Apologies for re-posting this but the son of a close friend has kindly given me permission to use one of his band’s tracks to accompany my video.Β They’re a young duo who toured Canada coast to coast before returning home to the UK. They deserve all the publicity they can get. It’s so hard starting out in any of the arts.

Music: “Midnight Moon” by kind permission of “The Rabbitts” from their album “Tall Pines & Tangled Vines” https://www.therabbitts.com/

The lovely thing about being inconspicuous

Hi,

You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been taking a few “candid” street photography type shots of late, something that I occasionally turn my hand to for a change. Although it’s not a genre that I feel that I’m particularly adept at nor is it my main photographic interest, it’s great to go pretty much unnoticed. It’s not so much the camera that gets one noticed as the size of the lens and, as far as lenses go, they don’t come that much smaller than my 20mm Lumix pancake lens πŸ™‚ . I guess that also having a compact, fairly “retro” looking camera and not a big DSLR is also an asset when it comes to such things.

Kind regards

Leigh

PS. If you like my new video, please share, thanks.

Quick tips.

Hi,

In keeping with making my kit as light and compact as possible I hit on the idea of using some of those small, soft, velvet? pouches that one can get cheaply online that they sell for jewellery etc. for my filters. Shown below on the left, my 62mm CPL filter and on the right my 62 mm UV filter both with XUME filter adapters fitted. I chose two colours of pouches to easily and quickly distinguish between the filters. Additionally, I fitted a 62mm-67mm step up ring to the CPL filter which makes it easier to grip and adjust and it shades it a little. These afford all the protection needed as they fit snugly and securely in two of the inside elasticated mesh pockets in my Wandrd tech bag that I’m using as my camera bag.

Kind regards

Leigh
